OUR PEOPLE
In the past, not too far gone, transport on the islands of the Delta do Parnaíba/PI was only boats.
For the people of the island to reach the town, they had to leave home at 3 in the morning, or even earlier, to take advantage of the day, as they had to walk for nearly an hour to the closest port, and the boats were very slow. They would return at midday, taking the same way home, carrying their shopping on their shoulders. Until someone had the idea of the quadricycle for the island, adapted with rubber seats, transporting people and even construction materials.
Other people also acquired this vehicle and today it is a means of support for some families.
